The Warmenhoven & Venderbos label was officially founded in the year 2000, although both designers already worked under the name Warmenhoven & Venderbos since 1996. In the beginning the collection consisted mainly of haute couture garments, unique pieces and autonomous works. In 2001 the label launched its first prêt-a-porter collection which mainly targeted the Asian market. During the middle of 2008 the first prêt-a- porter collection focussed on the European market was developed. Over the years the company has specialized in high quality, ready to wear collections for high end retail stores.
The complete oeuvre of Warmenhoven & Venderbos is remarkable in the conceptual approach as it reflects the designers' visions on art, design, tradition, movement and the human body as it also ventures outside the world of fashion.
The Warmenhoven & Venderbos collections evolve through constant development achieved by replacement, amplification, deconstructivism and distortion.
The work should be considered as one piece in which all steps of development have a value of their own, as well as each step can be presented in its own right.
The Warmenhoven & Venderbos prêt-a-porter collections are well known for their conceptual practice in which the designers draw upon their autonomous work, vision and ideas.
Through their in-dept way of thinking and working they are able to find ideas, discover reality and reveal hidden patterns.
This practice of in-depth design contents a creative process to improve innovation, developing and creating new individual products with an intrinsic value.
These concepts and results are implemented in feminine prêt-a-porter collections with a distinct point of view and unique cut for self-confident, independent, quality conscious and avant-garde orientated women.
Unusual high end fashion collections, which are directional to retail, with an elegant edge.
