About the label
The Warmenhoven & Venderbos label was founded officially in the year 2000, although both designers already worked under the name Warmenhoven & Venderbos since 1996. In the beginning the collection consisted mainly of haute couture garments, unique pieces and autonomous works. In 2001 the label launched its first prêt-a- porter collection.
The Warmenhoven & Venderbos collections are marked by a conceptual approach in which the designers draw upon their autonomous experiments. These concepts and results are translated into a feminine  prêt-a-porter collection for self-confident, independent and avant-garde orientated women.
Besides the prêt-a- porter collections Warmenhoven & Venderbos present autonomous work in galleries, musea and participate in projects.
The complete oeuvre of Warmenhoven & Venderbos is remarkable in the conceptual approach as it reflects the designers' visions on the human body, clothing and fashion.
The Warmenhoven & Venderbos collection evolves through constant development  achieved by replacement, amplification and distortion.
The work should actually be considered as one piece, autonomous work, prêt-a-porter  collections and presentations, in which all steps of development have a value of their own. Because of this each step can be presented on its own as a work in its own right.

About the Cut out label logo
The Cut out label logo originated during an art project in 1996. Warmenhoven & Venderbos created for a performance a collection which consisted of
garments which they called "Empty" clothing. In this piece they also made use
of ready made items. In order to incorporate the ready made pieces into the "Empty" clothing collection they cut out the existing original labels but left the parts where they where attached remaining in the garment. Since this performance the Cut out label is used by Warmenhoven & Venderbos for all their collections.
